The Right Choice When Experience Matters

The County Coroner is, by Illinois State Statute (55ILCS5/3-3007), a law enforcement office.  Roger has 26 years of law enforcement of experience with 16 of those years spent as a crime scene investigator.  Some believe a Coroner needs to have medical experience.  Roger was a paramedic for 5 years and is currently a First Responder.  A Coroner needs to have the compassion to help families during their most difficult time.  Roger's faith along with his professionalism gained from a lifelong career of meeting people in their darkest hour give him the experience and compassion to support the residents of Jefferson County when they need it most.

Roger D. Hayse has the wide range of experience that makes him your most experienced choice for Jefferson County Coroner.

About Roger

What is the Coroner?
The Office of the Coroner is the oldest administrative office of government. The coroner is responsible for the investigation and certification of cause and manner of death in cases of violence or undue means. The county coroner is notified when a death warrants investigation and works in conjunction with the police authorities to investigate deaths of a violent nature or unnatural cause (accident, homicide, suicide).
